Roseau County Fair Open Class Advance Registration Incentive
It’s time to start planning for the Roseau County Fair. The Roseau County Fair Board has been hard at work putting together a fun-filled week of events for the 2008 Roseau County Fair. They’ve added lots of new entertainment and family activities, as well as keeping some long time favorites. For many fair goers, a visit to the exhibit buildings and barns offers some true insight into life in Roseau County. With that in mind there are a few changes that exhibitors should take note of when planning for this years fair. The entry date has changed for the open class exhibits, along with judging times. All entries must be registered by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008. In an effort to make entry day more efficient, entries submitted prior to July 17 will be greatly appreciated. In fact, by entering your exhibit by July 17, you could be the winner of a grandstand ticket to the event of your choice. One ticket will be awarded in each division, A-M. For those who have never exhibited at the fair, ask yourself … Do your sunflowers rival Van Gogh’s? Do you have a photo or painting that would make the masters green with envy? Do you have a knack for knitting? Or, will your prize tomatoes be ripening on vines this summer? Whatever your passion, share it with others by entering it in the Open Class division of the Roseau County Fair this summer. For more information on how to enter an exhibit in the Roseau County Fair, pick up a copy of the Fair Premium List at one of the following locations: Citizen State Bank, Border State Bank, Security State Bank, the Roseau and Warroad libraries, or visit the Fair’s web site (www.roseaucountyfair.com) for complete details and the latest updates. A special note to area 4-H members, a correction to the 4-H schedule has been made since the Fair Premium was printed, for the revised schedule, visit the fair web-site or contact your 4-H leader.
